VILLA "CASA AURORA" [HISTORICAL NOTES]
The house, dating from the mid 19th century, has been lovingly renovated throughout,
keeping many original features such as marble floors and vaulted ceilings with
exposed beams. It adjoins the historic Church of San Egidio and an attractive
Medieval Arch surmounted by a bell tower. Opposite is an elegant Renaissance
building, Palazzo Scarafia.
ACCOMMODATION
Set on three floors and accessed by an impressive stone staircase with cast iron railings.
Casa Aurora has a fully equipped, re-furbished ground floor kitchen, 3 large bedrooms,
3 bathrooms (2 en suite), and a lounge with satellite
TV. There is an upper floor room with an equipped kitchenette and dining
facility. The enclosed garden/patio area, equipped with table, chairs and barbecue, is an
ideal spot for sunbathing. The house is fully equipped with washing machine, microwave
oven and dishwasher. It can accommodate up to 5/7 people in total privacy.

HOW TO GET THERE
Giuncarico is served by Pisa (1 ½ hours drive) and Rome (2 ½ hours drive) airports.
Ryanair offers cheap flights to both destinations, or you can fly with British
Airways or Alitalia. The local town of Braccagni is the nearest railway station
and the larger towns of Grosseto and Follonica provide alternative car hire
options.
If travelling by car from Pisa, take the Aurelia highway southwards in the direction
of ROME/GROSSETO. From Rome, head north in the direction of LIVORNO. The Giuncarico
exit is 20 km north of Grosseto.
